Carrera/ Career

Periodista ecuatoriana (1990). Estudié mi licenciatura en Ciencias de la Comunicación en la Universidad de Belgrano, en Buenos Aires, Argentina. En 2014 regresé a Ecuador y empecé mi carrera periodística en Diario El Comercio (2014-2022). Desde 2017 escribo sobre temas ambientales y sociales. Mis artículos se han publicado en The Washington Post, Earth Dialogue (Diálogo Chino), Mongabay Latam, Insight Crime, Climate Tracker, El Espectador de Colombia, América Futura de El País (España), Revista Mundo Diners, YouTopia Ecuador, La Barra Espaciadora y GK. En 2022 fui una de las tres finalistas en la categoría "Texto" de los premios Jorge Mantilla Ortega y en 2024 gané el premio de periodismo Eugenio Espejo a Mejor Crónica en Prensa. El periodismo ambiental me ha permitido juntar mis pasiones: escribir, viajar y contribuir con la protección del planeta. 

Ecuadorian journalist (1990). I studied my degree in Communication Sciences at the University of Belgrano, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2014 I returned to Ecuador and started my journalistic career at Diario El Comercio (2014-2022). Since 2017 I have dedicated myself to writing about environmental and social issues. My articles have been published in The Washington Post, China Dialogue, Mongabay Latam, Insight Crime, Climate Tracker, El Espectador de Colombia, América Futura from El País (Spain), Mundo Diners Magazine, YouTopia Ecuador, La Barra Espaciadora and GK. In 2022 i was one of the three finalists in the "Written stories" category of the Jorge Mantilla Ortega Awards and in 2024 I won Best Written Story in the Eugenio Espejo Journalism Awards. Environmental journalism has allowed me to bring together my passions: writing, traveling and contributing to the protection of the planet.
